Making
it happen
Introduction
We
start at the beginning and listen to your requirements
and how you envisage your new kitchen and living space.
Our experienced designers then turn your ideas into a
design proposal that is both practical and beautiful.
Specialising in a range of quality products, which we
know well through years of first hand experience. We believe
this enables us to offer you a design that reflects your
lifestyle and is aesthetically pleasing. We offer our
initial consultation, design and quotation without obligation
or charge.
Presentation
We
like to present our initial proposal to you in the kitchen
studio as our resources are immediately available. We
will discuss with you our design ideas and the rationale
behind them, listen to your opinions and where required
amend drawings to reflect any changes. It may also be
useful to outline the project budget at this stage.
Ordering
Once
your drawings and quotation are agreed and finalised a
schedule of work is completed for the installation. We
ask you to confirm the order by signing the contract and
drawings and paying a deposit of 25% of the total project
cost.
We
are happy to liase with your architect, builder and specialist
subcontractors and issue copies of the drawings as appropriate
to ensure the smooth running of the project, we will also
issue drawings for the plumbing and electrical services
and coordinate these specialist trades during the course
of the job. Once a provisional start date has been agreed
we will issue a schedule for the project.
Installation
All of
the components for your kitchen will be ordered and delivered
direct to ourselves, lead times will vary dependent on
those of our suppliers but are typically 6 - 8 weeks.
You will be required to make a further payment on delivery.
Our experienced team will keep you up to date throughout
the installation. The kitchen will be project managed
from ordering to installation to ensure the smooth running
of the operation including plumbing, tiling, electrical
work and plastering. If there are any remedial works or
additional works to complete during the course of the
project, we will confirm with you when and how this work
will be completed. Only when the project is complete will
you be asked to settle the final account.
There is
no typical time span for the fitting of a kitchen, simple
jobs may only take a few days whilst others, a number
of weeks. The fitting of Corian, Granite and other solid
surfaces all have to be templated prior to fabrication
which normally takes 2 weeks, glass splashbacks and worksurfaces
also take 2 weeks to fabricate once templated. A complex
job with solid surfaces and glass splashbacks may take
as long as 5 or 6 weeks with us returning after a break
to fit the worksurfaces and then again 2 weeks later to
fit the splashbacks.
Do not
worry about being left without water or electricity, whenever
possible we will disconnect and make safe the services
in the kitchen and leave the rest of the house running
as normal within a few hours. If the project is likely
to take a few weeks we are happy to install temporary
worksurfaces, a sink and cooker so as to make 'camping'
a little more comfortable.
Building
Works
Whilst
we are happy to undertake minor building work as part
of the job, we firmly believe in using specialist where
required. Therefore major structural alterations and building
works can be coordinated as part of the project as we
have very good working relationships with a number of
local builders, Architects, Surveyors and Engineers.
