Sinks and Taps

 

The sink is one of the most frequently used components of any kitchen, constantly used for food preparation and washing and often focal in the design of many kitchens, therefore the choice of sink and tap requires some consideration to ensure that you select a sink in the correct material, colour, size and configuration for your needs.

Do you want :-

  • Single, one and a half or double bowl sink?
  • An extra large bowl to accommodate roasting dishes or other large items?
  • Ceramic, Corian Composite or Stainless Steel?
  • Left or right handed drainer?
  • Traditional cross head taps or maybe a Single lever mixer with pull out spray head ?

What type of sink should I choose ?

  • For laminate worktops choose an inset or overmount sink.
  • For stainless steel worktops, choose an inset or integrated sink.
  • For granite worktops, choose an undermount, inset or 'Belfast' sink.
  • For wood worktops, choose an undermount, inset or 'Belfast' type sink.

Ceramic

Ceramic technology has existed for several thousand years. This natural material creates a timeless elegance and is extremely easy to maintain. Being kiln-fired, it naturally withstands temperatures well beyond normal requirements. Typically ceramic sinks are gloss white they they are available in a range of colours from oatmeal eggshell to black.






Stainless Steel

Stainless Steel is recognised throughout the world as the ultimate specification for hygiene and durability. Its elegantly modern look is often chosen as a design feature, and can also be highlighted by the use of coloured accessories.

Composite

Composite sinks, often refered to by their trade names of Fragranite, Silgranite or Schock are an 80/20 granite / resin compound. Being scratch, stain and chemical resistant, hygienic and easy to clean with the colour going right through the sink and also heat resistant up to 280°c. Available in a wide range of colour including, white, sand, jasmine, alumetalic, anthratice, green and an exciting choice of designs and layouts these sinks have to be one of the most versatile and durable sinks on the market today.
